Music Classes
Each room received 6 one hour music sessions with Roisin Egan. Roisin is a classically trained singer. The music scheme is funded by Music Generation which includes the government, the local authorities and U2. The children had 3 lessons before Easter and had the remaining 3 after the Easter holidays. The children listened to classical music and responded by drawing pictures, they learned about music notes and rhythms and they sang songs and played percussion instruments. Their favourite activity was composing a piece of music called "Treasure Island".
