Sligo Cumann na mBunscol

Hard luck to our team who were not successful this year in the  Cumann na mBunscol 1/2 Teacher Mixed Final in Markievicz Park on Saturday 16th June.  We were playing Kilrusheighter N.S. in the County Final for the third year in a row.   It was third time lucky for Kilrusheighter....but some famous last words.........WE'LL BE BACK!!!!

On Saturday 16th of June, our school played in the Cumann na mBunscol Final in Markievicz Park in Sligo.  It was a Gaelic match.  The ref tossed a coin in the air to see who wore the green and yellow jerseys because Kilrusheighter N.S. and our school both had blue and white jerseys.  We had to wear the green and yellow jerseys.  I played in the 2nd half. At the end of the match, Kilrusheighter won. We got silver medals and Kilrusheighter N.S. got gold medals and the shield.  After, we went to McDonald's. It was great fun for my first time playing.
